He's been pretty flat from +3 to +5. He didn't need the HC at +5 (even if you wanted to go to bed). Feeding carbs later in the cycle can reduce duration and contribute to bouncing :-)

He kept going down, and I felt certain he was going to be under 60 at the next test, and that worried me. I was trying to keep him from dipping too low.

When looking at numbers, you want to keep in mind meter variance which can be as much as 15-20%. He was pretty flat from +3 to +5. You want to feed the carbs (if you have to) earlier in the cycle rather than later. :-)
