Yesterday

The cats got me up a few hours earlier than normal today and I had to make them all wait until it was closer to their regular feeding time. Since Mally is not getting shots, I can be a bit more flexible with the timing of her AMBG so we ended up testing and feed about 45 minutes earlier today. She's still doing great but she was a little impatient this morning trying to get me out of bed. Prue, one of my civies, was laying beside me patiently waiting for me to get up and Mally jumped up on the bed, came around to where Prue was laying, and gave her a smack. Talk about a pushy cat! At least she didn't smack me. :lol:

Sounds like Mally is full of it this morning. It is so funny sometimes when the cats smack each other around.

How strange that Mally's numbers run so low at times without the insulin. I just tested her at +4.5 and her BG was 31. She was sleeping on my bed when I did the test so I brought her into the room where I feed the cats for a snack. Her numbers have been great so far since she's been off the juice, but I wasn't expecting to see a 31.

Wow Mally that is one strong pancreas you got there. A 31 is low but there was a cat a while back Tracy/Pumpkin that had numbers in the 20's during the OTJ trial.

Thanks for that info, Miriam. Glad to hear Mally is not Abby-Normal. :mrgreen:

Wow, a 31, that is sort of scary, but I guess not since it is Mally's body that has the control. Weird how they can be over 200 on their own and then will just a little intervention they can get back down so low. Sami seems to be on a similar track to what Mally followed and we might be starting our trial soon.

I haven't done any spot checks on Mally at night since I stopped giving her shots, so I decided to do one tonight. I tested her about four hours after I did her PMBG and she was at 42. It's so strange to see these lower numbers and not panic. :smile:
