Re: 2/9 Joe - AMPS 357

Seemed ok this morning. I get a better feel for it in the evening though.

I've been thinking about what might have made his numbers go up.

1. We don't have very much data and maybe this is normal fluctuation.

2. Switched from Vetsulin to Lantus.

3. Adding more wet food and less and less dry.

Maybe this is his body's reaction to all the changes and we just need to wait and see what happens? Or maybe the vetsulin dose was better and he needs a little more Lantus?

I see you switched to wet but are you still feeding dry. I also saw on your ss that you gave dry treats....not sure if you are still using them.
There have been a lot of changes and you may be right about needing more insulin...... it may take time to find the correct dose of Lantus.

Re: 2/9 Joe - AMPS 357

He's not big on treats. I bought some freeze dried fish, he just sniffs and walks away. The treats he will eat aren't the best nutrition wise and he's not even all that excited about them. When he does get a treat they're the higher carb soft treats but since he really doesn't care about them I haven't been giving them with every test. Just the particularly stubborn ones. He gets lots of petting and attention instead.

His brother on the other hand will eat anything and actually comes around when I'm testing Joe to see if I'll give him something.
