3/12 | Jude: AMPS 105; PMPS 84; +3 87

Thanks, Tim. I'm glad his AM cycle numbers have come down a bit in the last couple of days. I wonder if it is the new Lantus vial. The previous vial was only three months old, but who knows.

Hope you and Pookey have a good, safe day!
Could be! That makes me nervous to change my 4 month old vial lol. I wonder what he’s doing in the +4 thru +6 range with these good starts.

He wasn't doing that well this past weekend with his AM cycle numbers (again, that was when we were using the older vial??); I'll be able to test more during the AM cycle this weekend, so we'll see how he does. But that's a significant drop in the AM cycle numbers between 3/9 and 3/10, when I switched to the new vial. The PM numbers dropped as well. It could be coincidental. I often worry that the insulin is going to freeze because that's what can really cause it to lose effectiveness. For that reason, I keep it in the door of the fridge. I'm going to get a thermometer.

I definitely see that big difference between 3/9 and 3/10 AM cycles too! Hmm. It's frustrating when we can't know if that was coincidental or if the new vial actually helped! He's looking so great though!

Yay for his last dose of antibiotics too! :D:bighug:

The only thing that would argue that it's not the vial is that his nighttime numbers are not that different. IDK.

Hope you and Xander are settling down after the other night's craziness.

Yeah, that's weird. All I could think of is that somehow maybe he needed an extra push in the morning and the new vial was enough to help that, but his nighttime numbers didn't really need the boost. I have nothing to base that on, it was just a thought that came to mind.
