Yesterday afternoon Ivy decided to break her very flat yellow bounce and produce nice greens (checked on Contour).
We held her dose at 4 units due to the lows and greens and low for her Pmps she had of 63 on the Libre.
Question:
I’m wondering if her Contour Next meter reads higher than other meters.
I’ve noticed some other Libre users when they check against their handheld meters the readings are not too far apart, like under 10-15 points (when Libre reads low).
My Contour meter can be 40 to 50 points (or even more) higher.
(I actually have 2 Contours and they both read the same).
I like the meter and it takes less blood to get a reading.
So if I want to get another meter, what should I try (that needs less blood)
Then if I get a meter that reads much closer to the Libre, which meter do I believe (the Contour or a new handheld meter for blood checks?)
Or do I just stick with Contour and go with the higher readings for dosing decisions??
I’ve seen the True Metrix Go and Accu Check (not sure which model) mentioned as what the Libre users are using. @Jennifer & Oliver
I tried the Relion Premier when I first began and it took too much blood and I never could get readings so I abandoned that meter.
Any thoughts? Thanks
Hope you all have a safe surfing day
