Amps 54 on Libre
Good morning,
It’s been an “interesting” morning. Woke up to 50s numbers on Libre. :nailbiting:

Gave full 4 unit dose.
Then she began dropping to Lo and bounced up to 50s on Libre. Did a few blood tests on Contour Next meter and got numbers from 158 to 185. So perfectly safe.
(Double checked with my second Contour meter to be sure).
She’s hanging out in this lower range so far today.

At +1 Libre is Lo, Contour reads 115. :cool:

She’s working her dose I think. Will see how this day goes. :rolleyes:

Wild weather in the Midwest with tornadoes. Hope everyone is staying safe.

Hope you all have a safe surf Friday :cat:

She’s been in the “Lo” range on Libre all morning.
At + 3 she tested 86 on Contour meter.

Libre seems to cut out sometimes when she just stays in that Lo range. Sometimes for an hour or more. I’m just learning this since it’s new for her to be in this “Lo”range for longer stretches.
Last week when this happened I thought the Libre was faulty so I changed it. But it got me thinking and I see it happens over and over again. Then the readings seem to start up again.
It may be something I have to adjust to as she lingers in lower ranges.
Technology is great when it works perfectly. Except when it doesn’t :banghead:

Good wow wow morning, Staci!
What a great start :cat:
Hope Ivy keeps at it safely and steadily! No drama, sweet girl ;)

It was super windy in our area - spring storm!

Exciting AM cycle but I hope it won't be too stressful for you, Staci!
:bighug::bighug::bighug:
Thank you, Kit. It’s been a big stressful. I hate when I don’t get consistent readings. And she hates the constant poking of course. :(

I guess we both have to get used to this if she’s going to get to better ranges in green ;)

I’m glad you only had winds and no real trouble last night. The Spring weather season can be so dangerous!
Hope you are all having a stress free Furriday! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks so much, Alicia. She’s definitely seeing better numbers and working this dose. Yay.
Have a wonderful day :bighug::bighug::bighug:
Maybe the lower numbers and her feeling better from having those lower numbers will make testing be easier, especially if you have to do it more? I hope it eases up more, I know it's rough when it's obviously distressing to them.

In a slightly amusing story - last night when Eric was getting ready to try his first shot, he was trying to figure out how to hold her skin, and couldn't figure out how to grab it at first, and she kept looking back at him like, what are you doing sir? She didn't run away though, so I think we'll be okay!

I’m sooo glad to hear Eric is trying to do this. Kit is holding his hand on this venture.
And hoping Ivy gets better, too. (Ivy and Eric need to buck up!)
lol :joyful:

What a beautiful day at the beach Ivy!! Great work Staci! I just received a Genteel lancing device which is supposed to make the ear prick less painful for our sugar kitties. I will let you know how it goes as Oliver doesn't like the ear stick either. Hope you have a great day!!

@Staci & Ivy
Hi, do you both use the lancing pen things? I have been poking with the lancet on my own but she still flinches sometimes.

I have been sticking Oliver without a lancing device and I can tell you it’s difficult. I warm his ear and stick him and then have to squeeze to get a tiny drop and he hates it. I just received the genteel device in the mail today and I’m hoping it works better for us. Oliver does wear the libre3 but there are definitely times where I need to stick him. I can let you know how it goes if that’s helpful

Hi Staci :)
What a beautiful cycle Ivy is having.
Well done, Ivy, working the dose. Stay safe beautiful girl.
She's in good hands and she knows it. You're doing such a great job in keeping her safe.
Have a great Furriday :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Jennifer, let us know how the device does for Garfield.

It’s been a crazy day. The sensor crapped out. Ugh. One of those days. :arghh:

Hi Shelly, it’s been a bit of a crazy day. I’m not sure if the sensor was failing on its own. Or if her lingering in low numbers for the sensor caused it to fail. I’ve had this happen a few times and it’s very frustrating.
Kind of screwed up my whole day.
I’m hoping to relax tonight. I’m sure Ivy is happy to not have me poking her constantly now. :stop:
I hope you have had a much more calm and peaceful day. Wishing you a nice weekend ahead.
Chin scratches to your boys from me :kiss:

Yes, please!

I'm sorry to hear that the sensor failed again today. What a catch 22 - you want her low, but also don't want all the lows to cause the sensor to quit. I hope you've been able to relax this evening. :bighug:
