morning :)

Looks like Fistuk is working the new dose. He gave a 63 nadir last night and started green this morning.

We caught up with day light time this morning. He still wants to eat in his regular times. It'll take a few day for him to adjust his internal clock.

Something so sweet happened this morning. I saw him sitting on the step by the bed ad I did't help him up the bed. I left the room and after a few moments I heard his meow when he asks for something. I went to the bedroom and couldn't see him and the suddenly noticed that he was already on the bed, packed between our pillows and he just asked for us to close the balcony's door and cover him with his blanket :joyful: I was so happy he just jumped up by himself. Now I know the step is really in the right hight and he feels confident using it.

Did Fistuk have neuropathy ? I think we spoke before about it if I’m not mistaken ? That’s so awesome that he got up on the bed by himself :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Yes we have.... He does have neuropathy. It's become much better with 1) BG going down 2)B12 methylcobalamin supplements
He also has arthritis so it's hard to know what's causing what.
But I did notice that he bites his hind legs or front paws much less when the neuropathy is weaker so that's one sign that you can also look at.

I know it's hard to see them lose their mobility. Over the past weeks I've been trying to let go of my own ideas about what's best for him and nice what makes him happy. (@Tiger(GA) and Ruth :bighug:). Fistuk is happy! he is motivated by the play with a feather and sitting in his comfy padded cushion in the sun. He will probably never go back to behave like he used to before he had so many illnesses to deal with but he's not less affectionate, adorable or inspiring. So I appreciate this and give him the best support available in his condition.

Such great story to start my day to glad to hear Fistuk is doing better and he's climbing up in the bed all by himself yay!

I’m so glad Fistuk is doing well on this new dose and love the story of his jumping up to the bed. Such a sweet boy.
He knows how to make his Mum happy.

I don't really celebrate it, just enjoy the time off :joyful:
I keep cheering him on each time he jumps up. Looks like he's regained his confidence in jumping a bit. Just this hight bit it's something

It’s a lot that he jumped up!! I’m so happy for him and you.
I don’t celebrate the Holiday, either. Just enjoy the day, too :bighug::bighug::bighug:
 
Oh Shelley, this makes me so happy to read this report for Fistuk!!! Seeing him able to jump on the bed and playing just brings a smile to my face!!:joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful: I am sorry you missed your trip to your Mother In Law's, but I sure hope your eye is healing up? Also, glad you cancelled your trip and didn't have that infection come on while you were over there or driving over!!! Even if you don't celebrate Easter, you take the day off, enjoy your day with your precious Fistuk and your DH too! We will have my kitchen remodeled and new floors put in the whole upstairs this next week so I have been busy packing everything. I am glad to take today off from that! I put a pot of Bolognase sauce for pasta on the stove and now I have time to visit the forum and check in with my favorite kitties and humans! I hope later that this trip to Italy does materilize for you, when you are ready, and when the stars align properly for you to do so!!!:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
 
Ooooh, I love the story!
He figured out the steps thing and now reign the bed :woot:
So cute that he wedged himself between the pillows and wanted to be covered with the blanket!

Such a great story to see after not being on the board for a few days- I'm so happy that Fistuk is moving around so much, and his legs feel strong enough to jump! I love that he 'asks' for things :bighug::bighug: He also seems to like the new dose, I'm seeing a lot of nice green, hope he continues that way!
