Hey guys,

Sorry for being so late. Just been a busy and generally crappy day. Overnight went fine, nothing under 140 and now we're back in bounce land.

Hope everyone had a nice safe day.

Haha, I just posted too. Must be running on the same crap time as you. Numbers not looking too bad. Can I ask why he is on Gabapentin?

I see we're in the same timezone at least, too! lol

Not awful, not great. Seems like he's doing an every-other-cycle-has-action thing.

He's on Gabapentin because he's just a super nervous, sensitive guy. We got him as a feral kitten and we've never been able to hold him normally or anything like that. He has a lot of anxiety about being held or trapped, etc. Injections were basically impossible because he was afraid and after he turned and bit me during one we were desperate to just make them possible to do twice a day. The vet also said she thinks he's got some neuropathy and that it would help with that too. So we give him half of what he's prescribed a couple of hours before each dose to calm him a little. I also apply a little bit of lidocaine to the injection site because he doesn't even like having his skin pulled a little. The Gabapentin + lidocaine + Churu have basically been the magic potion that allows us to manage injections. Sadly that hasn't helped with testing any, so we've gotta use the Libre.

Hope he clears that bounce quickly and gets back on track soon.

Xander seems like such a sweet little guy and you are working so hard to get him stable and make sure he feels safe in the process.
