Will you be keeping him on Clavamox for longer than a week this time?

The prescription is for one week. When I took him in last week, the vet said that there wasn't a lot of bacteria present, so he was thinking that one more week would knock it out. I will take him in next week to ensure the bacteria is no longer present. What are your thoughts?

Thanks, Laura! I'd love to see him go back into remission, but I'm thinking that he might need an increase to get him into some lower and flatter numbers. Once he finishes with this round of antibiotics, we'll see how he's doing. I hope you and Minner are doing well!

Yes, I'm taking him in as soon as we are finished with the AB and getting another UA. This time, if the bacteria is still present, I'll ask for a culture. When they did the last UA, the vet didn't think we needed a culture since Jude was responding to the AB. The next day, I called to ask if he would go ahead and perform a culture, but they had thrown away Jude's urine sample.
