I thought he would continue having nice steady cycles like yesterday, but it looks like he prefers a roller coster over surfing.

With that 150 drop from AMPS to +2, you want to test and feed at +3. Maybe a little higher carb. Sharp drops also cause bounces.
He is really working the dose though

Yes, I was thinking I should have checked at +3 , I left some lc for him but I guess he needed more carbs.

Yes, this dose is really working. I expect he will bounce tomorrow with the big drop today. I am working the next couple of days so that's probably for the best.
