We are having a very rainy, gloomy, gray day here today and Ivy is stuck in the yellow range on her Libre. Yuck all the way around.

She tolerated me installing a new Libre this morning and if all goes well, I will activate it first thing tomorrow morning, right after her shot.

We are headed out to dinner tonight so I’m trying to decide if I give her a little bit higher carb since I will be out (as I normally do) or if I hold her at her regular 6% since she’s higher.
It’s always such a coin toss because at any moment notice she has been known to take a dive the minute she knows I’m going out to dinner. Oy.

Have a calm and peaceful weekend :cat:

Hi Staci,
Looks like Ivy is creating her own sunshine since there's none :p
Or maybe she's playing nice and wants to be safe while you're gone for dinner tonight.
Boys and I wish you both a calm and very boring Caturday. Enjoy your dinner outing.

Hi Staci. I see Ivy has just presented you with a pink. Maybe it is her way of encouraging you to go and enjoy your night out later without worry ;)
Wishing you a happy weekend too :bighug:
You may be right, Helen. I hate it when I see pink :banghead:
But it does give a guilty calm while I’m out. (Of course there’s more instances where she’s diving while I’ve been out and I’m completely anxious and doing everything I can to get home as quickly as possible). It’s just never easy :blackeye:

Hi Karolina, you always find just the sweetest take on any situation! Xoxo
We appreciate your sweet wishes. Sending you and your boys lots of hugs and kisses :bighug::kiss::bighug::kiss:

Awww, Staci, I'm so sorry it's one those dreary gross days. :( Wish I could give you a hug!

I hope Ivy stays nice and smooth tonight (whichever decision you make about her food) and that you have a nice night out! You deserve it, especially on this rainy blahhhh day. Sending you both love and hugs! :bighug:

If it were me I would probably give Kai some high carb, but you know Ivy best and I'm sure whatever you decide about her food tonight she will be okay. You deserve a nice night out, I hope you have a great time! :bighug:

Hi Brianna, thank you. We need the rain so it’s ok. Gotta just deal with it. I appreciate the hugs! Xoxo
Looking forward to a nice dinner.

I hope you and Xander are doing well today :bighug::cat::bighug:

I did feed her MC, my usual go to when I go out. I feel safer but don’t like keeping her higher. Always a conflict to figure out. Thanks for your thoughts.
Hope you and Kai are doing well :bighug::cat::bighug:

Hi Staci. Have a nice time out to dinner tonight.
I hope Ivy behaves and doesn't pull any fast moves.
Wishing you both a calm night and safe surf!

Hi Madeline, thank you, but true to Ivy form….I was getting very odd readings overnight. And skips in the sensor, so I came downstairs at 1:45 AM and sure enough her top is very wet and her fur is very wet. I decided she probably was licking the sensor and trying to get it off. So I started the new sensor which was already installed this morning and marinating, and then I went to remove the old one again at 1:45 AM and I can just see that it was sort of hanging on by a thread. And the filament was bent, so it really wasn’t taking any real readings and (probably all night long???).
Any readings I got were probably BS.
No wonder her chart looks so wonky :blackeye:
so hopefully, we will be up and running shortly and by breakfast/shot time I can feel comfortable with the readings we’re getting. Ugh, what a night.:banghead:

I hope things are great with you and Butch!! @Madeline528

Hope you enjoyed dinner, Staci :)
I cooked for Passover yesterday. I was so tired and almost cancelled but I'm happy I didn't.
Fistuk gave us a demonstration of how he vomits :p:p:p and everyone ate well nonetheless.
We had such an amazing spring week over here with gorgeous sun during the day, shining on all the apple trees', magnolias, and other trees' blossoms. Yesterday is rainy and I know we need the rain but I need the sun :p So I hope she comes back soon and picks another day where I'm feeling less zombie to disappear
I sympathise with that dilemma of LC/MC... I think you did right to keep her safe and to buy yourself a little peace of mind. You deserve a night out. YOu're taking such good care of Ivy it's important you carve those windows for yourself
Sending you bot much love from me and the boys :bighug::bighug::bighug:
