Good morning
After a very active am cycle yesterday, Ivy bounced up to red at PMpS then slowly worked her way down to a nadir of 61 on Libre at +9 (alert woke me up at 3 am)
She came back up to high blue at amps today. Gave current dose 4.25U.

Her appetite is still meh. She will eat from her feeder at meal maybe 1/3 to 1/2 of meal. Then I have to hold bowl under her face and she will slowly finish her meal.
Snacks at +1,2,3 are hit or miss in eating on her own. ;)

Hope everyone has a safe day and a good weekend ahead :cat:

Good morning Staci!
Beautiful AM cycle and nice recovery PM cycle yesterday!
Nice AMPS this morning and looks like Ivy's sliding down nicely
Hope her appetite gets better - but I wonder if she eats less because her BGs are lower?
Wishing you another beautiful cycle day for you and Ivy ;):bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Kit, it’s an interesting question about the appetite and better BG. I just have no idea.
She’s actually gone up this am, probably from her 3 am lower nadir and yesterday’s lower cycle I guess??
What do I actually know (not much!)

Hope Mikan behaves today with no lime action!!

I was also wondering, as Kit (the human) was, if her appetite is lessening because her numbers have been better. Kit (the cat) definitely ate more when she came out of remission than she does now.
I hope you have a good day - scritches to Ivy. :bighug:
Very good question, Alicia. Do you mean Kit cat ate more before her numbers have become better after remission and once again?:bighug::bighug:

Good meowning Staci and Gato meow!

Beautiful cycles. And just a quick trampoline visit last night and then she decided (very quickly) that's not for her and started making her way towards the beach. She cleared that bounce very fast and today has showed you some good numbers already.

As for her food intake I do agree with Kit and Alicia. Nestle has always been a foodie, but before his official diagnosis and during higher BGs he was ALWAYS hungry. He got better as he became more regulated. So it could be same thing is happening with Ivy. Of course there's a difference between not wanting to eat and eating less and you know her best.

Wishing you both a wonderful and peaceful Furrrrrriday

It's hard to remember the first go round and how much she ate (and I was NOT good at tracking it), but she definitely started eating more before we discovered she was out of remission, and has tapered off some as we've gotten the numbers under sort of better control.

Staci,
I just heard about the earthquake that was felt in NJ and PA. Hopefully you were safe during it. Please post an update when you can.
Sending PAWsitive thoughts your way :cat::bighug:

Everything here perfectly fine! Thanks for your concern!! I think I may have felt a tiny ripple, was playing with Ivy…but didn’t even really register until I got in the car and was listening to the news and heard (lol).

Hi Karolina, been a weird cycle after the low dip at 3 am this morning. She’s sooo high for mid day. It’s either a FS or a BIG bounce.
Thanks for letting me know about Nestle’s appetite. It’s always helpful to hear about other kitties’ journeys and how they reacted.

It’s such a puzzle with so many moving parts, especially with the added new DX of hyperthyroid and I know nothing about this new DX and am trying to educate myself (while still trying to figure out FD) Arggggggg
Just never ends. :banghead:

Wishing you a lovely beach day and I am bummed we can’t get there today!!
Enjoy your time at home with Nestle and Peanut :bighug::cat::bighug::cat:

Hi Staci :)
I see that Ivy gave some real action yesterday.
I hope she comes off that bounce quickly and safely.
It's great that she's eating and some by herself. At least she's eating even if you have to feed her.
I know it takes some extra energy and time. I hope she starts eating all her meals by herself.
Wishing you a wonderful Furiday :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Shelly, she’s having quite a bouncy day today. Ugh.
Thank you for the sweet wishes. I hope she eats well soon too!
I hope things are well with you and the boys!
Happy weekend ahead :bighug::bighug::bighug:
