Yesterday's Condo

Good Morning everyone, Is it really Thursday already???

It's been a busy week...and of course Luci decided that yesterday was a wonderful day for some surfing exactly in conflict with our plans for the day - DH doctor appointment, my appointment ...we were in and out all day! By the time it was all over we were both exhausted and of course Luci was just enjoying her condo here and lazing the day away on the lanai or where ever she decided to nap and eat and just relax...and surf those nice green numbers!

Hopefully today will be a bit calmer - only work looms as we continue to sort out authentication issues!

I hope you all have a lovely day and that your kitties surf safely! Sending continuing prayers and well wishes to @Our Dolly Girl's mama Adrienne in her recovery!

Thanks Suzanne - but I wouldn't really know since I wasn't here to test....Luci had her auto feeder and at least didn't bounce to the moon this morning - an indicator of a very low number yesterday...those are the kinds of days where I need to slap a Libre on her little butt! I hate not knowing how low she went...but sometimes life just gets in the way of my service to the Royal Miss Luci!

I saw that note on your spreadsheet about doctors appointment and saw what Luci was doing! Hope today is a nice calm on for you. Surf safely, Luci! Give mama a break.

I don't think any green number is very scary anymore - having to take care of a lifelong diabetic is more scary to me - I worry who would take care of her if something happened to me?

I don't refer to greens as scary because she responds well to food...most cats do. Luci thinks its a big party when her numbers go low, because she gets gravy! She loves gravy and of course any other kinds of sweets she can get her paws onto - she loves candy, cake, pie, bread and pastries of all kinds...so if you were to ask her, she'd like to go as low as possible every day of the week...and at night too if she could...it's a party to her :)

I’m with you Sue. The thought of Dolly not getting back in remission and this constant poking her and late nights, worry, limes and God forbid she outlived us, this is terrifying to me. There is no one that I would trust to take care of her except my husband and myself, of course. On the other hand, like Luci, Dolly just loves her gravy, definitely party time for her :woot::woot: I want Dolly back to her mostly low greens. I don’t know what’s going on with these erratic numbers. They may look just fine to others but I know remission will not happen until she gets lower, more stable test results :nailbiting:. I worry it’s the thyroid problem. :arghh:

I read some through your thread. I have several kitties getting lifetime medical attention by me and I have told my husband, if I pass away, he is going to either have to find a good place who will care for them til their deaths, and if he cant do that, he is going to have to have them PTS and he must get my sister to be with them if it comes to that, so they do not leave this world alone. I hate thinking about it. I have prayed that God lets me outlive all of the kitties I provide care for, and especially these special needs kitties.
