5/15 Cleo AMPS 164 + 4.75 LO, +5.5 59 PMPS 153 +1.5 179

Well today was a first for me and I haven't felt panic like that in a LONG TIME. It was the first time my meter read "LO". Retested and "LO" again. Reached for the AT2 and it showed 41 .
I jumped up and grabbed my hypo kit box . Gave HC and Syrup and set the timer for 20 minutes. THANK YOU FDMB STICKIES
That was the longest 20 minutes of my life.

Thank God she's coming up now and did not exhibit any symptoms of a hypo other than EXTREME HUNGER.

Her spreadsheet showed something was going to happen with the blue preshot after coasting in the yellows all night (indicative of a bounce clearing cycle), so I resolved to test hourly and at +2 and +3 fed a tsp of 11% respectively to slow the dive. I know my cat and her patterns, and sometimes lack of pattern and even with my gut feeling and clear indication that this was a bounce breaking cycle, and trying to feed the curve with MC, her BG got away from me REAL fast.

I RE-learned valuable lessons today.
  • Know thy cat
  • look for patterns
  • be prepared - hypo tool box kit
  • DO NOT become complacent
I hope this doesn't read too much like a PSA.
