Good Morning everyone and Happy Caturday! It has been a busy time lately - hence little time for visiting you fine folks here on the forum - I haven't had much time for reading up and seeing how everyone is doing but I hope all is well here abouts.

We're getting ready for our semi-annual migration to Michigan and leaving our beloved Florida once again. Work settles to a mild roar except for the occasional blip and now we're already thinking of yet another re-write in another language - I don't know if I'm getting too old for this stuff or not...but I'm not sure I could do another upgrade...we shall see.

Anyway, Luci is loving the warmth - it's been very warm and she sleeps on the lanai and watches the world from the upside down cat head view...she's not going to care much for losing out on her lanai time - we don't have a screened in porch up north - so she'll just have to make do with her usual hangouts there until we come back next Fall.

Well, I'm about to take my last trip out for a few last minute things - visit the Farmer's Market here one last time where they have the absolutely finest heirloom tomatoes ever! We won't have any of those in Michigan until much later in the Summer - most likely end of July, early August.

I hope you all have a wonderful day and that your kitties surf safely!

Good morning Sue, enjoy the Farmers Market, we used to get these perfect strawberries from ours for an indecent price. We learned to put them in a plastic container with paper towels on the bottom and top, strawberries would last 1-2 weeks. Probably everyone knows this already but it has saved a lot of our produce, that and green bags. Just sayin :D Hope you have a wonderful, restful weekend. Hope DH is improving, less hip pain. Little Luci surf safely. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Just in time for the warmer weather here!

Hi Sue. What are you translating?
Sorry you have to leave Florida, but it will be getting very hot there anyway soon (too hot!) The heirloom tomatoes sound wonderful. I have my sweet potato plants and my tomatoes already going strong (flowers but not fruit yet on the tomatoes)... and my Japanese eggplant and other eggplant (ratatouille, caponata, grilled eggplant with parmesan... mmm!) I love fresh strawberries. When I lived on the central coast of California we used to get the BEST ... not to mention the fresh Mandarins (I thought mandarins were just those little things that came in a can!) In fact, you can get good fresh produce all the year 'round there.

I hope you have a good, safe trip back to Michigan. I have a friend moving to Michigan (from Boone, NC) soon. Her brother-in-law spends the summer there as some kind of produce broker. I will have to remember where in Michigan she is moving. How will you travel to Michigan, just by car. How does Luci like the trip? How do you set her up for the long journey? Do you stop overnight?

What are you translating?

I think you're referring to when I mentioned writing our program in another language - I was referring to computer language - just one kind of code into another.

We're leaving next Saturday - so I'll have to wait to get back to Michigan to see another farmer's market - and early in the Spring the offerings aren't the same...not many fresh tomatoes just yet.

I have a friend moving to Michigan (from Boone, NC) soon.

Why would anyone move to Michigan? I hope it's for a great reason :)

We travel by car - and Luci enjoys the trip enormously. She relaxes inside of her deluxe carrier - sleeping and curled up - she always looks like she's getting the best sleep! I can open the door and she occasionally steps out onto the console, takes a look around but then returns to the safety of her little cave. She's an easy traveler and has little to say about the whole thing - but she doesn't want to eat or drink much - I can entice her with a little bite of something - a treat - but for some reason she's not very interested...we stop for one night and stay in a pet friendly Holiday Inn - in Tennessee. That's about half way for us - the first day is usually 10-12 hours depending on traffic. We have 1250 miles to drive...so it's two long days in the car. She handles it better than we do - must be all the napping she gets to do :)
