We're going away this weekend so Oreo got a Freestyle Libre put on yesterday so my mother-in-law can take care of him. We did it for our honeymoon last year and it worked out well.
The numbers are really off from the blood glucose meter however. This morning preshot, the Libre said 455, which is unusual so I used the Relion and it said 348. I know the readings will be different because it's testing interstitial glucose and not blood but I was thinking maybe a 20 or 30 point difference, not over 100. Tonight preshot, the Libre said 380 and the Relion 285, so again around 100 points. I read on a site (for humans) that it can take 48 hours for the Libre to calibrate correctly. Does anyone know if that is accurate? I don't remember this being a problem last time, but I was still fairly new to testing at that time and may not have realized it.
