Muscat didn’t eat an hour before shot and didn’t want to. Woke her up for food and shot time 40 minutes later she was groggy and stumbled and threw up bile three times, second time had a piece of dog food she must have found. She is 599 usually drops around 162 at 4 pm for her nadir. Should I still give her one unit Lantus? She hasn’t eaten, but is normally mid 500 not this high. It’s 6:41 she gets 6pm shot times.

If you can test tonight and have plenty of supplies, I'd go ahead and shoot.

With that high a BG, there's a long way to go before she'd be in any danger and I'd be more worried about ketones with that high BG and the vomiting.

Do you have any ketone test strips?

Please go ahead and take the 911 off. While we totally understand your concern, we try to save that for cats in immediate crisis, like when they drop too low. High numbers are concerning, but not life threatening at that moment.

Much better. She’s like 95% of normal, numbers are normal for her again for still being unregulated.
