Good evening,

we had an active cycle in the morning and Binie went below 100 on the libre. I fed a bit high carb so she doesn't go deeper. But the rest of the time I managed to give only lc. Seems like tonight she is having a quite flat cycle. Not a bad idea to go to bed soon.

We went to the vet today and both vets thought that the wound looks much better and less inflamed. They just checked and didn't do anything with it. I think these are good news. Binie also got a new libre.

Unfortunately that stressed her so much that I had again a problem to inject. I finally managed after giving her some time but she was very irritated and I was not 100% sure if the shot went in because I had to hurry so much. As I couldn't find anything smelly and she is going down I think I managed. The whole evening I played "cat music" on YouTube to calm her down. I hope tomorrow morning it is easier again.

Hope everyone is having a safe and calm day! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Heike, very happy Binie’s wound looks better. That’s wonderful and you must feel very relieved to hear that from the vets. Glad to see she was seeing some Green today that’s great news. I hope she doesn’t bounce that green range.
I think you would have smelled the Lantus on her if you gave a first shot so hopefully it went OK.

How does she like the cat music? Does she find it calming? I might have to try that. It’s a good idea to see if Ivy responds at all.
I just looked on Spotify and there is some cat calming music that might chill her out. I’m gonna have to try that. Thanks for the suggestion by mentioning it.

I hope you have a good sleep :bighug::cat::bighug:

Thank you Staci! :bighug::bighug::bighug: Yes, I was really relieved and I didn't expected the wound to be better because she started to lick even more and I thought it hurts. And of course she bounced from the greens but we did see a green number again today very early. :nailbiting: Unfortunately I can't download the data from the reader and I have to call Abbott tomorrow before I can update my ss. And yes, I also think I didn't do a furshot yesterday but so sad, she starts to be difficult again for her shots. :(

I think the cat music really calms her but she does not react directly on it. I read that some cats start to purr or they rub themselves on the speakers. :cat: You can check out this page:
https://www.musicforcats.com/ And you can find his music on YouTube for free. It sounds a bit unusual for the human ear but I started to like it. :) Please let me know how Ivy likes it!

Hope you have a calm night and a good sleep! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Two good things. First that her wound is looking better. :). Second that green today means that 2.5 units dose is looking good so far.

Thank you so much Wendy for checking in! Both good news have been quite unexpected. And we really needed good news.... Hope you have a beautiful evening! :bighug::bighug::bighug:
