Ok, so I don't think it's a true dose reduction that Shooter got tonight. I switched from CarePoint Vet syringes to BD syringes. Even though the line was on 2.25 as usual it felt like more insulin went into him, but I thought maybe it was just in my head. Tonight when I went to shoot a 2 instead of 2.25 I decided to take an old CP syringe and a new BD syringe put the same amount of water in each then make a droplet on the counter. The BD was a slightly bigger droplet. :( Has anyone ever experienced this with different brands?

There’s a hub in the BD syringes. Fir humans being off a little doesn’t matter but like you sad with cats a little is a lot! Even the starting line is crooked and not always in the right place on the best of syringes.

The markings of the lines on the BD syringes are notoriously bad and can vary from bag to bag. I'd often see 1/3 of a unit below the zero line. Then a bag where they were perfect. When you first use a syringe, push the plunger all the way in to see where it lines up compared to the printed zero line.
