Gave him a mirtazapine at 4 am and it kicked in and he ate a little bit and I thought maybe things were improving, but now, pre-shot, is refusing to eat again. Have sent email to my vet and will call the office in a bit.
Vet called me and said she didn't need to see him, but thought lowering his dosage of gabapentin could help so I picked up a liquid form of it. She also agreed that it might be a good idea for him to see a feline dental specialist at Cornell Vet Hospital. I asked her to write up his condition so I can use it when making the appt.
Gave him his first dose and the drooling that took place was epic. Hope he actually ingested some of it before the drooling started. Will try and get it more down his throat the next time vs. just squirting in his mouth.
He ate some FF at noon!
