Just talked with the vet. She took an x-ray to make sure the tube was placed correctly and saw 1, possibly 2 masses in his right lung. She's sending the x-ray out for further evaluation and then will make a referral to Cornell Vet Hospital for him and to hopefully get him in to see a specialist a lot quicker than I could. To say I'm devastated is an understatement. My poor boy.

Picking him up and bringing him home in 2 hours.

Oh no. I am so sorry to read this. Yes, he needs to be evaluated asap. I lost one years ago and didn’t know she had lung cancer until the night before. She was eating well until that night because she was in prednisolone for acne. Depending on what they find chemo is a possibility. How old is she?:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Wally is about 17 years old. My oldest boy, Indiana Jones, was diagnosed with intestinal tumors over 2.5 years ago and has outlived all expectations. He now also has kidney disease and high blood pressure and is down to skin and bones, but still eats, uses his litter box and has a good quality of life. I treasure every day with him, but will not let him suffer. Same goes for Wally.

He's home and has been out of it pretty much since I picked him up. I have given him 5 ml water via the tube twice so far and will give another 5 ml before bed. Vet said no food until tomorrow so if I get a nadir reading, I'll syringe some food into him. He would have gone 24 hours without any food by then. Got .5 unit insulin tonight.
