6/27 Taz, AMPS-185

Taz is going to the vet Wednesday morning because he's been acting hesitant to eat his night time treats for the last week or so. A few days ago, I noticed he's starting to eat sideways again, and today he's clacking while eating. Apparently he's having teeth issues again. :(

Teeth issues can cause higher bg. I got LM the dental done cleaning and one extraction (bad infected tooth). It has totally changed his numbers and amount of insulin. He was at 2.75u at time of dental. We are now down to 1u and his numbers have been really good overall. I'm convinced his teeth were a huge factor Best money I spent.

He had a dental with teeth extractions in early March. That week was his last pancreatitis flare up and thankfully when we said goodbye to his purples, reds, and blacks. They're fitting him in as an emergency visit because they know his history with pancreatitis. Who knows when they'll be able to fit him in for a dental. They're about 2 weeks out for appointments right now as it is. :(
