We just got back from the vet and it didn't go as well as I had hoped it would. The vet couldn't find anything wrong with his teeth, except for some redness along his gum line due to gingivitis. But he did do an xray and one of Taz's pancreatic cysts has grown. It was 1.8cm at the beginning of January and today it is 5.something. He suggested that we contact a specialist and have another ultrasound done so they can get a better look at what it looks like. To say I'm freaking out and stressed now is an understatement. He also said that Taz's heart was a little more round than it should be but he couldn't detect anything wrong with it. We're waiting for his bloodwork to come back, hopefully tomorrow.

Oh no! That’s a big increase in size. Was a biopsy ever done? The hear needs to be investigated by a cardiologist. That’s also very important. :bighug:

We didn't do a biopsy at the time because his pancreas was really inflamed and they were worried that messing with it would agitate it even more.

January. They had hoped that once the pancreatitis healed itself, the cysts would resolve themselves. Taz gets really stressed when he goes to the vets, and we were scared stress would cause a pancreatitis flareup, so I've been putting off taking him to the vet's. :(

I'll be watching him really closely over the next week. We're waiting to see what the bloodwork shows before we make any decisions on getting the biopsy or not.

He seems ok but I'm scared about the next few days. I'm debating on whether I should start meds now to help prevent a flareup.
All I can offer for that is :bighug::bighug: . But you will do what's best for him. At least now you know what it looks like and can catch it early on. Prayers and love that he handles this last visit with no issues.
