Hi everyone!

I cut my vacation short and am back home now. I'm so sad about the vacation, because I literally live for it all year, but I got worried about Ben and he's more important. I think his spreadsheet looks really good for someone who was just eating MC food while I was gone for 3 days. The one yellow bg was after he had been given a bunch of HC food that morning. Things got a little confused at times; FD care is just a lot to ask from anyone, not her fault. Not his either, as he was such a good boy while I was gone.

Now I'll shift him back to LC food as promptly as he will let me. I don't know how long that will be. He's been free feeding Fancy Feast, and a lot of it, but we will get back into our routine.

Oh no Catherine, why? He was looking good even with the vacation dose and MC. You could have enjoyed the time off. We all need a break!

The catsitter had some trouble managing the instructions. I was going to be in a remote part of Montana with no cell signal for a week and was afraid she would need help and I would be out of touch for days. She is devoted to them and even spent nights here, but it is just a lot to ask, with various foods, two different cats, bgs, MC and LC, and a hard to read dose. I would probably have worried too much anyway.

He ate LC food for dinner, yay! We have a pattern now where he will eat about half of his meal, then sit back and look at me expectantly. Then I have to sprinkle some crushed freeze-dried treats on his food. Then he will eat half of that, and so on. I think he is doing okay for not getting insulin last night.
