7/16 Jack: 132@amps, 72@+2 - keeping 10.5u

Miserable weather, lack of time, lack of tests, lack of data to make a comfortable decision about increasing Jack's dose. We've been keeping the 10.5u because I think he's getting some green that I'm missing, or he's holding the 100's fairly often with the business-as-usual-for-Jack bounce. The :spam::spam::spam::spam::spam: weather is not helping, his BG is always higher in the heat. I'm praying my ex can get to the house today to put in a bigger AC and hopefully alleviate the average 80*F (28*C) my house has been sitting at the past few days. Although, between the prescription cat food the herd eats and Jack's supplies, I'm not sure how I'm paying the electric bill when it comes in. I don't know how many more hours I can work. :blackeye:

Hope all are doing well, apologies for the lack of posts- I'm just not keeping up with life very well. Please know all of you and all the kitties are always in my thoughts and prayers. :bighug:

So many things going on! I hope the house is able to cool down without being hugely costly. My crankiness would know no bounds if I was that warm - sending cooling vibes your way. :bighug::bighug:
I know you say lack of data, but you're getting a lot of tests in the AM cycle, and I know the PM is hardest (at least it is for me - alarms have not been working as a wake up after I go to bed at night. And yet, the boyfriend's snores will wake me up with no problem. Maybe I need to make my alarm noise a snoring sound? Although that just might make me wake up angry. :joyful:)
I genuinely hope things ease up soon. ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Christine,
This summer has been brutal! That's gotta influence everyone's health. :spam:
Hope you get a bigger (and more efficient!) AC today! When it's that hot all the time in the house, you can't think and feel good.
Sending you icy hugs (to cool you off, warm heated, of course!) :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Christine :)
Sorry to hear you keep on suffering from the heat. Sounds challenging there for you and the pack. Paws crossed the AC you get today will do a good job!
I got heat exhaustion in Italy. First time in my life. I guess I'm not used to heat anymore after nearly 9 years in Switzerland. I worked in the garden in the late morning sun and got quite badly knocked down after a few days.
Sounds like a good decision to keep Jack's dose if you're not feeling confident with the data.
And we know that you're busy with life and not forgetting about us, no apologies here please. You're doing so much good and Jack id lucky to have you as his guardian angel :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Christine, sending cool breezes your way. It’s been so unbearably hot. I hope you get the AC situation resolved for all of your comfort.
Jack had quite a nice dip at +2 today.
Wishing you some calm for you and all the sweet herd. You’re such a great Mama to all of them.
Hang in there.
Sending you pawsitive energy and big hugs :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I have the same problem with the alarms at night---and if I do wake up, I'm so disoriented I can't function, not even to take a test. I'm luck to stumble to the bathroom and back without hurting myself (or stepping on a cat!)

Oh, I'm sorry you were sick from the heat- hope you are feeling better. It's amazing what our bodies get accustomed to. When I go back to NYC my sinuses are a mess and the heat and humidity are worse than here in the mountains, so I'm physically sick for a few days after. Sending hugs---
