I am thinking about increasing another 0.25 unit. The end of this cycle will make three days. He's been primarily in the yellow to pink with much less red.

Thank you both! I gather nadirs can be lower than this. I need to review the rules. Even if I could increase after tomorrow though, I'll probably give it more time. I'd like to see more consistency. As new as I am, I kind of want it to feel right,...and reliable. Anyway, so far, so good...

Now after all that I might be motivated to increase asap. It's a little frustrating thus far. In spite of the lower nadirs, most of the pre shots still seem to be maxing out my meter.

Full disclosure, my motivation is somewhat emotionally influenced. This is embarrassing but I only last night forced myself to focus on finding ketone strips. So, in reading more about it, I got kind of panicky especially when I wasn't locating any for some mysterious reason.

The good news is that this morning I'm headed to the store for those. Then it's over to the vet for us, as scheduled. So, it looks like we use human strips for this, then at 15 seconds they're either neutral or otherwise. He's vomited a couple times too, so you can see my concern. Anyway, our doctor will hear about all of this...

I know it is very disheartening when that meter beeps and you see such a high number. It takes an emotional and mental toll as the weeks go by and progress is incremental. Staying motivated, positive and upbeat as you continue to slog through the day-in-day-out of insulin therapy is very challenging -- or at least it was to me. I got pretty depressed at one point as my boy's numbers seemed to not be improving -- but they were, ever so slightly. And the people here just gave me encouragement and reminded me to keep doing what I was doing, trust the process, give it time.

@Stache everything ok? I noticed the spreadsheet has not been updated in a few days

Yeah, my luck has been off. They put on a new sensor and it didn't take. They can't see us again 'til Thurs. I'm keeping food & insulin locked where it is. Stache seems to be doing great but I'll welcome a return to the SS.

Interesting, the vet, the pharmacy, & Abbott all claim no accountability for the device. I'm so sick of devices. They are divisive. This will play into my learning to blood test.

Thanks Man, for keeping an eye on us! Sorry it took me a while to check in. Cheers, Everyone!
