Yes, you do use carbs to "flatten the curve", but that's typically early in the cycle when the insulin action is strongest. The idea is to prevent diving - which can also trigger bouncing. Later in the cycle it takes less carbs to keep the numbers up than earlier in the cycle because insulin action is on the wane.Don’t want to slow down the car! So I should only use the carbs when he’s below 50? I feel like I read others here feeding carbs in the 60’s/70’s to prevent dropping further but will start paying attention to when/why they might be.
