7/6 Henry C, PMPS=262, +2=162, 2.6=136

Everything OK Roxana? I see your SS hasn't been updated in a few days and no posts.
All good, just super tired and the heat wave in GA is not helping . I kept monitoring and took pics of the numbers but have to input in the spreadsheet. Henry’s diarrhea cleared a while back and his appetite is back but still super picky but no more dry food. We have a vet appt Monday to check for acromegaly and IAA. And have a new sensor placed which will help with my sleep. Will update the spreadsheet and post tomorrow.

Good to hear this. I was getting a little worried.

Glad to hear everything is good. I can't take the heat and humidity. I don't know how you southerners do it.

Here's a tip I just figured out with the libre (maybe you already know this). You can go to libreview.com (you should already have an account from when you installed the app), after you log in there is an option in the upper right hand corner to "download glucose data" which will give you a .CSV file. You can then go into google sheets click "open" select "upload file" and select the CSV you just downloaded, and BOOM! You'll have all his glucose data in a spreadsheet updated at 15 minute intervals. I usually do an A-Z sort on the date column because the "spot scans" and the 15 minute interval readings are listed separately by default, but if you sort by date then you'll be able to see them in order of date. I've noticed that there is sometimes a sizable difference between the "spot scans" you get on your phone and the 15 minute interval readings the sensor records. I think it's because the sensor averages the BG data over a 15 minute period. I feel like the 15 minute data is probably more accurate than the spot scans. This is what I've been doing the last couple days and should be easier then trying to get scans every hour and take pictures and re-enter the data. So long as you scan at least once every 8 hours you'll get all the data. With the alarms for possible hypo situations I'm finding I only need to scan him a few times per day now instead of every hour and I'm still able to totally populate my SS.

I've been ruminating on how difficult it may be to make an app that automatically populates the spreadsheet for you straight from your phone with no action on your part. Might be something I can pull together, I know the libre app has the ability to share data with other apps but I'm not sure about some finer points like possibly needing to get Abbotts permission to access the BG data on the phone or needing to become an "approved app".

Lastly, while I'm probably not the first person to make this real knee slapper of a joke I told my wife earlier, "I need a cat scan, stat!"

Yes, I am aware of the download and that is exactly what I do when I have the libre sensor. No sensor for over a week Henry killed the last one lol. We are getting a new one Monday. They are very hard on his skin and he scratches them like crazy. It is much easier and I get much more sleep with the sensor but he is much more miserable. I will tell the vet no more glue, she puts 3 drops but his poor skin is just too sensitive.

"I need a cat scan, stat!" This is the first time I am hearing this and it is hilarious. Love it. I will have to borrow it. Does your reader or phone loses signal if cat goes in another room even if it is less than 20 feet? Mine did for the last libre and was annoying. I just have to make sure the cat and the libre are in the same room.

Yes, the losing the signal is one of my only gripes. It probably isn't a big deal with a human since humans probably usually have their phones with them. Luckily my house isn't that big (well, not sure that's a lucky thing in general, but it is atleast in this context). I did shut the "alarm unavailable" alarm off for awhile but then I risk missing a hypo while I'm asleep so I turned it back on. The best way I've found to fix the situation is to keep the phone in a high unobstructed location. Like, it's no good if it's in a nightstand drawer with things all around it. In general the higher off the ground something is the further the wireless signal will carry (this is why communication towers are ... well towers). So I've got it down so it rarely sets that alarm off.

Give your Henry a shrimp for me :cat:

How does he tolerate the Libre? Do you apply it or the vet. Do you use vet glue? Mine hates the Libre and will have to stop the vet glue see if it makes his skin better poor little dude hates it.

Well, he's only on his second one right now, and he pays zero mind to it at all. Granted, he has barely been grooming himself for several months (probably due to weakness -- the vet says they'll stop to conserve energy), but I've been very lucky he doesn't seem to mind it. Maybe it's not a big deal after being connected to all sorts of tubes and wires in the hospital. I'm not sure if she uses an adhesive or not. I think she does because when she took the most recent one off there is still some very hard stuff (with a blue tinge) in his fur around where his old one was (I'll have to cut it out). But his skin underneath looks just fine. She's been putting it on his hind quarters worried that the subQ fluids would affect it. She switched the location from his right side to his left side this last time, I'm guessing so it would give his skin some time to recover. Does your vet always apply it to the same location?

No she always rotates it. Never same location which is good. But he hates it and fights it with all his might lol
