Good evening,

what a day... Yesterday I thought about increasing because nothing moved in her bg but I delayed it because I wanted to hear the opinion from Wendy and Elise on that and they couldn't reply so far. So I stayed with 1.25 fat.

Today it was extremely hot and we started lower than the last days in the evening cycle after a nice but unspectecular curve with some blue today. Tonight she started to drop quickly and when she went below 100 at only +2 I started to give high carb, than when she was at 70 and still dropping higher carb and I ended up giving sugargel, which I hate doing. But she dropped steep and her lowest point was 40 on the libre. :nailbiting:

Unfortunately I tested her with the handheld already three times during the day, because I developed some trust issues with the sensor. So she was not very enthusiastic about testing, when I needed it. I managed to do one test at 74 at the libre and she was 104 at the accu check. I tried to test several times between 74 and 40 on the libre but I was not successful. She was unwilling and ran away. :-(

I will give her a reduction tomorrow because I think she went lower than 90 on the handheld and it is going to be even hotter tomorrow. But I don't know if this reduction is sustainable, when the temperatures go down again. We'll see, tomorrow is the hottest day and on saturday it gets cooler again.

Now her bg goes up from all the sugar stuff. I hope it doesn't go up too much but stays stable through the night. I decided to stay up with her until midnight and then set my alarm clock to look after her at +6. What a stress...

Hope everyone has a safe and cool night! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Heike, oh what a very hot and stressful night you had. I’m sorry to hear this.
I hope you are able to manage in these very hot temperatures.
You did a great job managing the drop and did the best you can with poking Binie.
I know she won’t let you too many times in one day.
You can always increase her again so try to not stress too much.
I hope you both can get some sleep tonight. It must be hard with such high temperatures.
We are sending you cool breeze thoughts to cool you both down.
And safe surfing wishes to Binie:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you so much Staci! I will give an update later but so far it seems, the reduction was good. Safe surfing for Ivy too! :bighug::bighug::bighug:
