Yesterday's Pokefest
Whew! I'm exhausted from typing all that! It is a testament to what a sweet, mellow cat Cinco is that he didn't snap at me at some point last night, between all the pokes and all the eyedrops he endured. I expected a bounce today, and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't much higher. He's already coming down at a more normal speed, so I am pretty happy. DH is happy to be back at 2.0. I told him he will be much happier at 1.0 if we ever get back there! :lol:
I have to confess I did not put the e-collar on Cinco last night when I went to bed. He was curled up in a ball, sleeping so peacefully. After his tough day, I just couldn't do it. He has not messed with is eye at all, so it's still not on, but when we go out for dinner and cards with friends tonight, I guess I will put it on. He's not going to be happy. :sad:
Sasha's appy was a little off this morning. I hadn't given her the tummy meds yesterday, but I went ahead and gave them today, and before they took effect she was eating a little more. :roll: I gave her some Bupe, too, in case her throat is still sore. She does still have that scratchy cough, but not as often as before. The skin is peeling on her shaved belly. It doesn't seem to bother her, though, so I'm not concerned that part of it is exposed.
Harvey has had a voracious appy the past two days. Once I no longer needed the HC for Cinco last night, Harvey scarfed it down. This morning he has not stopped begging for food. I don't know what is up with him. Maybe he's just jealous of all the attention Sasha and Cinco have been getting (trust me, Harvey, you don't want that kind of attention!). He is jumping on my lap more often than usual, especially when I am trying to type. Definitely feeling left out.
Lazy day around here, watching racing and giving eye drops. Looking forward to an evening out, but will set Otto in case Cinco decides he wants a repeat of last night. I'm not expecting it, but he is a cat after all, so who knows what he'll do. :roll: :lol:
