Well...we have been doing this sugar dance for 3 months. I will not give up, or get discouraged, but would have if I did not have this group. My Gideon's vet wanted him on Lantus 2 units BID with no home testing. I think if I had followed his advice, he would not be with us now. I am so thankful I found this group, and a friend sent me her Alphatrak. Since then, I have a back obtained a second backup Alphatrak. Yes, the strips are expensive, but there is so little blood that is needed. I do hope eventually, we will not need to test more than 3 times per day, and perhaps Gideon will go in remission. If remission is not meant to be, then stable numbers in the BLUE/YELLOW range is all I can ask. Thank you all!
 
He’s made so much progress. Life gets in the way. He will get regulated or at least you will learn how to manage. Some bounce forever. Just as Jayla about Dre. She works and is gone all day and nobody else can test for her. He’s a long term though. I’m not giving up on Gideon ending these crazy extremes at least for a year.
 
I feel your pain! My boy must have went low when I was working yesterday and his morning amps was 108 pmps was 665 from a bounce-:eek:
amps 330. pmps 440 ughhhh
he should clear the bounce tomorrow
