I got the replacemebt Libre from Abbott today and put it on
. My question is this, got a pretty low reading on the Libre today So I double checked with a meter and it was quite a bit higher. I’m entering both numbers on the spreadsheet, but as far as coloring the square do I color using the libra number or do I color it using the meter number?

Updated to add; the Libra app may not be compatible with the iOS Version on my iPhone, so I am currently using the reader that came from CVS until I hear differently

Hi Rosie, I use a Libre 3 and am used to getting a lower reading on the Libre than on my handheld meter when I check it.

However, I’ve noticed other people get closer readings between their Libre and their handheld meter.

So I think you have to get used to how your Libre works compared to your handheld for Watson
.
When Ivy goes into low readings on the Libre, I will check with an ear prick and use the handheld meter.
For me I usually notice when my Libre reads “Lo” my handheld meter can be anywhere from 60 to just over 100 or so. Of course it also is constantly moving (like a moving target). Sometimes the Libre reads “Lo”, I do a blood test and get 135 on handheld and then the Libre jumps up to 45 or so, so it’s probably closer to that when I took the blood test.

I code my readings on my SS according to what the Libre reads for my own consistency. But you could decide what you want to do.

I hope this helps :bighug:

@Staci & Ivy
Thanks for the info. I’ve been doing a lot of manually checking because the libre is awfully low. In fact, my stupid reader just gave me a check again in six hours message so I don’t know what’s up with. Once it is working again I will do the colors according to Libre But continue posting the meter numbers when applicable. This is definitely not my week for Libre

Ugh. I’m sorry it’s been so unreliable. I’ve had weeks like that too. It’s so frustrating.
You’re doing a great job with double checking!
Sometimes the 6 hour warning comes back earlier. Sometimes not. Sometimes it just fails. But you just never know. :banghead:
I’m sending you good vibes for a working Sensor!!! :bighug::bighug:
