8/7 Herman amps 254 +4 148 +6 238 pmps 338 upped to 1.75u +4 185

While I don’t see any outward signs of fleas or flea dirt, Herman is still itchy. While he has a noticeable bald spot on tail he now seems to be itchy elsewhere. Feet and chin. Is there any reason why I would not go ahead and buy a flea treatment for him and treat even if there is no outward sign of fleas? Is there issues being a diabetic? I think Walmart sells a product that you apply between shoulder blades. I’d need to look into treatments, but would also welcome any recommendations. I will also stick to fancy feast and purina pro plan dm wet for now as I had introduced Beyond flavours a week or two ago and perhaps it’s a food allergy?
 
No reason why you can't treat for fleas. I use the Indian equivalent of Revolution on Bandit (and my civvie Budge). I think you need a prescription for it in the US?

Did the Beyond flavours have a different protein from the FF and DM?
 
The Beyond was a variety pack and included salmon, chicken w/sweet potato, trout and catfish, and Canadian duck with sweet potatoes. All 1-3% carb. For fancy feast he gets liver and chicken, beef flavour, salmon and shrimp. The pro plan dm has chicken and salmon in it I believe.
 
I also just realized I haven’t given my poor dog his nexgard in 2 months. I’ve been so caught up with Herman’s treatment I completely forgot. Poor Stanley! Just gave him his nexgard. We all sleep in bed together so…..yah….I would assume if Herman has so would Stanley….and me? And my husband? It’s a bit crowded.

I’m in Canada and I think I’ve seen flea treatments on the shelves at pet stores. I’ll go grab some.

Are you sure the Beyond are low carb? Sweet potatoes are carbs! Maybe he is higher because the food isn't low carb? Maybe it is, but just recheck?

Yes I was thrown by the sweet potatoe too but according to the food chart they are low. I buy it in a variety pack otherwise I’d probably have stayed away from the sweet potatoes. Either way…perhaps it’s not agreeing with him. I’ll stay to ff and ppp for now and treat for fleas jyst in case (just back from pet store now).
