Around here 18 isn't that old. I've had several live to be 22 & 23. My Kitty daisy was 20 when she had surgery to remove 2 toes with cancer. ( I stopped using any weed killer or fertilizer on my grass!) I was so scared at her age she wouldn't make it thru surgery.
She did great & lived 4 more years . Daisy & I fell asleep one beautiful summer afternoon & when I woke up an hour later, I thought she was still asleep but she was gone. She was 24 years old! She died laying next to me, in her home, very peacefully. Wish all my kitties could leave me like that!
Ravan is the only cat I've ever had that has so many things wrong with him. I sure hope he will stay with me as long as he can. Right now he seems to be doin good!
