8/9 Sugar AMPS 78, +2 78, +4 75, +9 79, PMPS 72, +4 79

Hope you are getting more comfortable shooting green. So that the next time you have to leave for the first few hours after the shot, you have the confidence to shoot. You could feed him some HC with the shot to be extra safe.

Thanks! Testing every hour last night helped to make me less nervous this AM.

Going to the office today but my wife is home. She is often on calls that are hard to get away from but is here in case of emergency. I will test at +2 before I leave and she will test around +3.5/4 and +5.5/6. I also asked her to encourage a snack at +9.

How does that sound?

@Bandit's Mom & @tiffmaxee

Flat as a low-carb pancake! Plenty of food will be out all day.

We have tentative plans tonight but it's only a few blocks away from my apartment so I can pop back in for tests if needed. If he's in the 70's at PMPS I think I'd feel OK leaving him along with plenty of food.

Shoot shoot! Even if he's in the 60s. Feed HC with the shot if it makes you more comfortable and leave out a little higher carb food - say a mix of LC and MC.
He's doing so well, please don't skip or give a token.

Seeing how steady he has been when we shoot low makes it less scary... even though you told me that would happen, witnessing it helps! I should know by now that Bhooma-knows-best!

And, that I’m starting to be less nervous… I think anything around 67+ would be in my current personal comfortable variance… but from 51-66 would still terrify me!!

But, I felt the same when I gave a 1/2 dose at 83 just two weeks ago… slowly the ‘comfortable zone’ is going down!

LOL. With FD it is a matter of being thrown into the deep end and figuring out how to stay afloat and eventually love swimming!

I’m starting to get that! He’s such a good (great!) cat that he knows to eat when he’s low. It’s awesome but I’m scared that he won’t ‘earn’ a reduction… he’ll just eat himself regular!! I don’t want to have to force an overdose so am hoping it is a ‘average of five days’ reduction.

A week in normal numbers earns him a reduction, so eat away Sugar! :-)

His pancreas woke up a month ago when he flattened out and started racing down the dosing ladder. Now you need to run with him and maintain the momentum (I'm as subtle as a sledgehammer, aren't I? :p)

Basically!! I’m here now and am subscribing to the cult!!

I keep telling my wife that the ‘cat mystics’ told me to test now… or change this… or, tweak that… Bhooma is our fairie catmother leader!!

Flattery will get you everywhere! :p;)

Jokes apart, the reason I keep going on and on about how you shouldn't skip is because I can see that Sugar has turned a corner and just needs a little nudge. I've seen so many carergivers here (myself included) struggle to get their cats regulated, that when I see a cat ready and willing to get with the program, I can't help but urge/beg/goad/harrass the CG to go that extra mile. I'm sorry I've been hounding you and I know you are doing your best. :bighug:
