https://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/9-11-kittencat-amps-173.235099/#post-2632342 I forgot to post this morning! Oooops! Kitten seems to be running really low the past few days. Which is good! I didn’t end up giving her a shot last night though cuz she was too low. Is this normal? Like, is this what we’ve been working towards the past month? These low numbers scare me more than the highs! ♀️
She's getting into normal numbers which is good for her. Eventually you'll want to work your way down to shooting a 68 as long as you can monitor. You can keep her safe.
So being below 100 consistently is ideal? My vet wanted her around 150 (on a pet meter) which I’m guessing equates to about 100-ish on a human meter. Does it get to the point where the insulin doesn’t actually drop her levels like it does now, it just maintains them?
Vets usually want numbers higher because most people don't home test. The idea is when you get her regulated, she'll just surf in normal numbers and not drop.
