Bounced right back up after last night. Callie may have a UTI (she peed in the living room tonight) so that could be why she suddenly started getting lots of really high readings again recently. Or maybe she just isn't feeling well because of the high BGs so that's why she peed outside the litter box... Callie's old vet just left her practice so I am trying to get in to see a new vet tomorrow to sort it out and hopefully help Callie feel better.

Yes, a UTI can raise numbers. I think you can look at taking her dose up tomorrow.
I’m definitely ready to try to move her away from these numbers but if she does have a UTI do you think we should wait until she gets rid of the infection? Or okay to increase before?

You want to stay on top of the numbers to prevent glucose toxicity from setting in. So increase since the numbers are high and reduce when they come down after the infection/inflammation is addressed.

Makes sense, thanks. We’ll increase to 3.25 in the am as long as she doesn’t throw us a low AMPS. Have a good day :cat:
