I stayed up testing her last night. Set my alarm for in between. Barely slept at all. After the last one I didn't wake up and shut the alarms off. I feel terrible. I have no idea if she dropped. The last one number I took was 122 but it was at +7 at 4am and was so tired I couldn't wake up. She had just had food open at 3...so her number could have been food influenced.
Lately every time her numbers are high like this she is cantankerous for shots. She fights it. Poor baby girl. I told my husband next time she has a night where I'm not sure she's done dropping he's going to have to take a few in the early a.m., if he doesn't have to work especially. She's had a few late nadir so it worries me I slept thru that time today.

Can anyone tell me how long cerenia takes to kick in? We'll head home tomorrow afternoon and want to make sure I give it enough time to work before we head out. Hoping to maybe avoid the pukes at the end of this trip.

I would give it an hour or two. I can’t remember for sure but know it lasts for 24 hours. Travel safely .

    From this article on dvm360:

Maximum plasma concentrations occur 0.75 hours after subcutaneous administration at 1 mg/kg, and 1.7 and 1.9 hours after oral administration of 8 and 2 mg/kg doses, respectively.

    [Emphasis mine]

Of course ECID ( ) but Elise's 2-hour estimate is a good yardstick.

    Have a safe - and hopefully barf-free - trip home. :)
