Bumped up the Levemir this morning, so no R. Probably tonight, though, unless he surprises me.

@Wendy&Neko is mid-cycle R even an option with Levemir? His Lev nadirs are around +8 to +10 or so, so giving R at +6 would overlap the nadirs. I could see maybe giving it at +2 instead of +0, though, so R nadir overlaps better with Lev onset? For now I think I'll just stick with giving it at Lev shot time until I find an effective dose. Just trying to sort out what the options are for the future.
 
I gave R mid cycle, once I saw numbers going up after nadir. Or like today, when he's flat and not moving. Neko's R onset and nadir were later than most, as was her Lev onset and nadir. So you have to do as you said, and see what makes sense for your cat. You know the principles. Avoiding nadirs at the same time is to avoid big drops. If he's flat/not dropping from Lev action, it doesn't matter so much.
