Good afternoon,

Binie was seeing some blue numbers and green numbers on the libre last night and today she is bouncing.

The libre woke me up after she was sliding down below 100 but with a straight arrow and there was no need to feed high carb. I just fed low carb and the lowest was 84 on the libre. I didn't test on the handheld because she was sitting outside with cold ears and she hates me warming them up. But I think 84 on the libre was not below 90 on the handheld and so I didn't do a reduction.

I am really happy she had good numbers and didn't go too low only with low carbs. That is what I am searching for, because next week from thursday on she has to be alone during the am cycle most of the time.

Unfortunately she was bouncing hard and the libre showed HI during shot time this morning. Now she is in yellow numbers and I think that is the best we will see today.

Today she is better than yesterday, no throwing up and she spents her time in the autumn sun outside. No strange breathing as well, which always makes me concerned.

Hope everyone has a relaxed weekend! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Heike, that actually was a very nice overnight cycle with a nice nadir. I’m sure you’re right that the 84 on the Libre was still in a decent range and not too low. I would not have taken a reduction either.
It’s definitely seems She’s bouncing from that lower cycle overnight, So that’s to be expected. Hopefully she will come down gently and soon.:D

I hope you both have a mellow day and she sees nice numbers again very soon. :cat:

I’m glad to hear she’s feeling well. Hopefully she will enjoy some nice weather on the terrace where she’s very happy.:bighug::bighug::bighug:

FYI, please change your date to 9/21 (not 31), lol

I didn’t want to bump yesterday’s post, but I love that photo. Binie looks like she owns the neighborhood :D.

I’ve had situations where I’ve given too much liquid medication to Bell too quickly, which I think she has then aspirated. The couple times this has happened it sounded “gurgly” when she breathes. Both times she managed to cough up the liquid and has been fine, but I know there is a risk of pneumonia when that happens. Wonder if Binie could have done something similar when she threw up. Good that you don’t hear any strangeness today in her breathing.

I am sure she is convinced she owns the neighborhood! :) She also liked to walk in neighboring houses to sleep in their beds or eat their cats food.

Yes, it sounds very similar what you experienced with Bell! It was a gurgly sound too. Happy Bell was fine! Pneumonia...argh.... another worry. I think I heard that happens with old people too. :(

Hope you have a relaxed weekend and bell is fine! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Yeah, sorry, I didn’t mean to worry you and I’m absolutely no expert here. It happened to me twice and was my own fault for giving too much liquid meds too quickly for Bell to process. Both times it happened Bell cleared it just fine.

I think Binie is fine, and you have your vet in the loop. I just wanted to share what I’ve read about it and it seems like you are watching her closely.
