Callie had another really nice string of blues from yesterday evening through +7 this afternoon. She's bouncing now (though maybe slowly headed down/doing a late-cycle clearing the bounce nadir?...) Anyway, seems like I'm good to get some sleep now.

@Bandit's Mom - quick question: do you think I should test Callie when I get up to give her a snack/ pull her food at +9.5? (I ask because I know that I am probably testing more than I need to but it is still really hard for me to trust my own assumptions about Callie's patterns/numbers...so if I have any question at all, I test. :arghh: But I would love to give Callie's ears a little more of a break if I can.) Please let me know what you think when you get a chance. Thanks!

ps - how's Bandit doing? Was the ultrasound helpful? It looks like her numbers have come down -- hope that means she's also been feeling a little better. :cat:

I'm not sure if you're asking me if you should test more or if you're testing too much! :)

A +9 test is good in cycles where there is good downward momentum like the last 2 nights. I don't think you need any more tests tonight. Yesterday, you could have stopped testing when you got that 346 at AM+2.5 and today at AM+4.5 - in case you think Callie's ears are sore and need a break.

I think the ultrasound may have been a waste of time and money. The vet wanted more labs, including a urine culture. Let's see what he says once they are in. She is definitely feeling better in lower numbers and the sub-q fluids are also helping. Thanks for asking! :)

Haha kind of both o_O . Specifically confused about last night +9 because she did seem to be coming down -- just very slowly from up high -- and I wasn't sure if that could somehow accelerate like crazy at the end of the cycle if she was clearing the bounce. So I appreciate you putting my mind to rest about that and Callie was very happy to be left alone early this am :p. Also, understanding where I could have safely stopped testing in the last couple of days is really helpful to me. Thanks, Bhooma!

Sorry for this! :( But very glad that Bandit is feeling better in lower numbers and that the sub-q fluids have been helping. :)
