9/4 Hexie (Lantus day 2) AMPS 344, +3 275, +7 284, PMPS 323, +2.25 180, +4 143

Hexie’s on day 2 of Lantus after switching from Vetsulin. She was on 4 units and started on Lantus/Glargine on 3 units. I know I am to monitor closely first few days. Should I still be doing BG every 3 hours today and tomorrow?

That's not a huge drop but is showing some movement. I'd get a +6-7 if you can, you may not need to test again after that.

+6 was about the same as +3, so you don't need to test more until PMPS.

Finally got a drop into the below 200 into the blues. Hexie went from 323 PMPS to 180 at +2.25. Is that a big enough drop I should stay up for another BG in 2 hrs?
