My cat free fed for 3-5 minutes at my neighbors house before I could get to him. It was about 30 minutes from his PM shot so I fed him a portion of his evening meal and for the first time I think I slipped up and gave a fur shot! What do I do? I have to leave to work in 1 hour (10pm) and won't be back till 3am. Should I skip work? Should I be worried? I'm a wreck! Alphatrak 3 keeps reading Error, possibly because his BG is too high (says interweb). Has anyone ever been in this situation? Please advsie!
Never re-shoot if you gave a fur shot/partial fur shot. It is too dangerous. You do not know how much insulin may have gotten into your cat.
Please hold that 1.25 dose for 7 days (even with fur shots). You have had some blue numbers on this dose and your kitty has been bouncing a lot (and maybe fur shot?) I am optimistic for better numbers because of seeing those blues.
