From your notes on the AM cycle of 29 September, the MC plus honey that you fed at +4 raised Blue's BG better, so do you want to try giving a couple more teaspoons of MC gravy food with the honey added again, and then test again in 30 mins? We're trying to keep Blue above the 50 mark.

Yes, I can do that. I'll retest in 1/2 hour. I hope it will hold because I have an appt. :nailbiting:
 
The honey will wear off fairly quickly, Patty.

It's still early in the cycle for Blue to be running in these numbers.

* Is there any way you might be able to delay your appointment for a few hours?

* Also, can you check how many carbs are in the higher carb food?

Sorry for tardy reply (sorting out the Noodle).

Blue's looking OK at the moment. I suggest feeding and testing normally for the remainder of the cycle. As an extra precaution I'd be inclined to include a test at +6 just to make sure Blue's staying in safe numbers. Are you happy with that, Patty?

AMPS - 309 | Dose: 0.50IU Lantus

+2.00 - 107 | Fed 2 tsp MC (13%)
+2.50 - 80 | Fed 2 tsp MC (13%) + honey
+3.00 - 113 | (no food) [NB: Not sure whether this was +3 or whether it was later. Please correct for your spreadsheet records as required, Patty.]
+5.00 - 128

I think the numbers actually correspond with correct times. I will check again in a few minutes because it's normal feeding time for my gang.
I had an appt. at 2:30 today but just rescheduled to go tomorrow. I know Blue wasn't as low as in the past at 48 but he kept going down and I didn't want to leave him still dropping. He only got to 80 since he got food and a drop of honey. I hope he's still around the same level so we will see in a minute.
 
I see. I missed that when I did a quick scan. I would have done the same. How long would you have been gone? Trying to give you a guide for the future. I think the other drops happened because he was high and there was understandably no test until the surprise drop under 50. We now know better and need to collect data for the next surprise.

Crazy as this may sound either dropping the little bit of dry or else it’s been long enough time off prednisolone that he’s changed. He’s going to need close monitoring now. I’d try and make appointments as late in the day as possible.
 
He's at 189 +6 so a safe number for now. He's also eating so might start going up. I would have been gone a couple of hours and didn't feel comfortable with that. Maybe once I get used to this. My appt. for tomorrow is 11:45 so hopefully he won't be dropping too far.
You know, he is still on antibiotic and anti-viral. Maybe that's why he doesn't regulate.
 
When you go shopping get some hc foods. I thought I read you have 13% but I was corrected that you have 20%. That should be fine. He might be low again tomorrow when you need to leave. I’d then carb him up for a few hours before you go and leave out a lot of food or have a neighbor come over and put out more food an hour after you leave. I’d make future appointments late as possible.
