I forgot to charge my laptop last night so am on my phone.
Blue is ok. I gave him HC last night because I had to go to bed and I wasn't sure which way his BG was going.
I added extra water to his breakfast. I'll be more diligent about that. He is peeing huge amounts and not drinking like he used to.
So 427 to start the day and we'll see what happens.

I'm exhausted too. That was stressful yesterday. I know now to keep giving him water. Just never worried about before. He was my biggest water drinker.

I want to keep what you composed yesterday and will do that from my Laptop. I think it's about charged.

I thought you might be, Patty. When one is in the moment in situations like that, adrenaline keeps one going but when the emergency is past and the effect of the adrenaline wanes one usually ends up feeling like a wrung out dishrag.

What do you mean add HC? Yesterday I fed LC and then realized I should have given HC but I don't normally do that.
Is that what you are asking about? It was probably a couple of tablespoons on top of LC pate.

I thought that might be the case. That’s probably too much hc. Next time try a teaspoon or two.

I think you might need to increase but after yesterday not tonight.

What do you think about a F0.5 in the morning unless he comes down tonight? I would also tell your vet about yesterday and see if he thinks labs are needed. If not tomorrow I’d do it if the issue happens again.

Maybe I can talk to them about it. I just hate having this disagreement and it's hard getting a new vet in the middle of covid. I have been going there since 1992.

Yes, he seemed a lot better today. I've made sure to give him plenty of tuna water.

Maybe he heard me mention the word increase. Perhaps you can use your vet for everything but diabetes if he’s okay with that. He just needs to dose your way if Blue needs to be hospitalized.

We will see. It's happened twice so I'm still pretty mad about it.
What is a freestyle libre? Do you have to have a implant done for your cat?

The Libre is implanted. It last up to two weeks unless if falls off sooner. I’ve read mixed things about it as to accuracy. You still have to be home to get readings to check if too low. It records for the whole time though. There’s a thread on them. It wasn’t around for Max.
