Hello,
My cat has been diagnosed with diabetes, and we initially tried Senvelgo, but it didn't help in regulating her condition. I've recently started her on 1 IU of Vetsulin twice a day. After each dose, she seems very lethargic and dazed for a few hours, although her motor skills appear fine. I ordered a glucose monitor today. My vet mentioned they haven't seen any adverse reactions to such a small dose of insulin, and we're scheduled to see him on Friday. He advised me to take her to the hospital if her symptoms worsen or last longer than a few hours.
Have any of you experienced similar reactions in your cats when they began insulin treatment? I'm quite worried about the possibility of hypoglycemia, even with just 1 IU twice a day.
Would appreciate all the feedback! I am very stressed and worried.
