Hello all! Been treating my 18 year old female with poor kidney values and constant UTIs with Novolin (intermediate) insulin from Walmart. Lately, her curves have been more V shaped than a slow curve as they once were. Considering moving to ProZinc for longer term effect. Any advice?
I can't really give great advice without the data, but I'd say yes if you're seeing V shapes a switch may be in order. Another alternative is to feed at strategic times to help level the curve out, for example if she starts the dive at +2 (two hours after shot), you'd want to feed some medium carb food at +1, probably again at +2, possibly some lower carb at +3.
