Hi all, I previously posted on the main forum (https://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/high-amps-low-pmps.263876/#post-2956841) about Nico's Dawn Phenomenon issues. He's been doing pretty well, but I'm curious if I should adjust his PM dose? Hoping to get thoughts on this, as he seems to be doing good otherwise. Thanks!! Bella and Nico
He's doing so well! Just doesn't want to budge off the 0.25U lol It reminds me of @Marie & Red I would not adjust, because he has been throwing some 80s in there. Just have to hold the dose and stay the course. It might be worth keeping an eye on the supply closet for a pen of Lantus/semglee/insulin glargine/basaglar. It should give him flatter curves, which would allow you to do a dose increase to get him in those healing greens more consistently. If you are in the US and your vet is willing to write a script, some people are managing to get single pens of semglee/insulin glargine for around $40 from Walgreens, Rite Aid, etc. You would just need the U100 syringes. If you have a lot of ProZinc left, I'd use up what you have and start thinking about a switch when you have about 1/4-1/3 vial left.
