Ear testing tip

    I've never seen this tip posted, so here goes:

    When holding the tip of the ear between your thumb and index finger, make sure to straighten out the other 3 fingers and place them flat, applying gentle pressure, across the ear opening thereby blocking the entrance to the ear canal. A cat will hopefully/eventually begin to trust that you have no intention of sticking a finger in its ear.

    It worked with Rover (but he was a marshmallow). Sorry, I don't have a cat at the moment to post a photo of.
