Hello! My cat was diagnosed with Diabetes about 2 months ago and we were told to try one month of wet food only and see how that goes before starting insulin. Good news, when I got his blood glucose checked a month later at the vet he was normal. However I’m still concerned about the peeing a lot and his weight being low. ( he 14)
Do you think these things will go back to normal? thank you!

    Great news about your cat!

I would keep an eye on your kitty. Be sure to keep your cat on a low carb, canned food diet. A diabetic cat that's in remission is a diet controlled diabetic. Illness -- infection or inflammation -- or high carb food could throw your kitty out of remission.

If you're not home testing, I'd encourage you to do so. Periodically checking your cat's blood glucose is a good way to be sure your cat hasn't fallen out of remission, especially since you're seeing some of the hallmark symptoms associated with diabetes.
